Privacy Policy

When you create an account, we collect your email address and any name you provide. When you use the product, we store the code snippets you save, the prompts you submit to the AI generator, the AI-generated responses, and usage counters (such as daily AI generations) needed to enforce plan limits. We also store project names and descriptions you create to organize your snippets.

We use your information to operate your account, generate AI responses, enforce free and paid plan limits, process payments, and provide support. We do not sell your personal information or your code to third parties.

To generate code and explanations, your prompts and any code you submit for analysis are sent to third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic). These providers process your input to generate a response and return it to us. We do not use your snippets or prompts to train AI models. However, our AI providers may retain inputs temporarily according to their own data retention policies. Do not submit sensitive, confidential, or proprietary source code you do not have the rights to share.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Saved snippets, projects, AI history, and version snapshots remain in your account until you delete them. When you delete a snippet, it is removed from your library immediately. When you delete your account from Settings, all associated data — snippets, projects, history, and version snapshots — is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

Your snippets are private by default and protected by row-level security so that only you and authorized admins can access your own records. Every API request is validated server-side to confirm ownership — a user cannot access or modify another user's snippets by changing an ID in a request. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Authentication is handled through verified email and OAuth providers (Google).

We use local storage to keep you signed in, remember your language preference, and preserve editor state (such as unsaved code drafts). We do not use advertising cookies or sell tracking data. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking pixels.

We use privacy-friendly analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns — which features are used most, error rates, and performance. We do not track individual users across third-party websites or sell analytics data. Analytics data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify your code or personal information.

CodeForge AI relies on the following categories of third-party services: cloud hosting and database infrastructure, AI generation providers (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic), payment processing (Stripe), and email delivery. Each provider has its own privacy policy governing data they process. We share only the minimum data necessary to provide the service — for example, only your prompt and code context are sent to AI providers, not your account information.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number — payment details are handled entirely by the payment processor. We receive only a transaction identifier and subscription status to manage your plan. See the payment processor's privacy policy for details on how they handle card data.

You can access, export, and delete your data at any time. Deleting your account permanently removes your snippets, projects, history, and account information. For other data requests — such as exporting all your data or requesting deletion of specific records — contact us through the Contact page.

CodeForge AI is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
